Çocuk Yogası, çocukların rekabetsiz ve destekleyici ortamda önemli özelliklerini geliştirebilmeleri için eğlenceli bir yol.
Küçük yaşlardan itibaren çocuklar genellikle okuldaki sosyal ortamlarında, rekabetçi sporlarda psikolojik baskı hissederler. Büyürken kendilerini eleştirmek, diğer çocuklar ile kıyaslamak ve öz güvenlerini kaybetmek, çocuklar için oldukça kolaydır. Yoga yargılamaz, kıyas ve rekabet yoktur, çocukların öz saygı geliştirmesi ve güvenlerini kazanmaları için güvenli bir yoldur.
Yoganın korumacı atmosferi, çocukların rahat, kendine güvenli olmalarını sağlarken, bedensel farkındalıklarını, konsantrasyonlarını, koordinasyon, esneklik ve denge yeteneklerini geliştirir. Eğlenerek güçlenirler.
Yoga, çocuklara çeşitli oyunlar ve hikâyeler ile anlatılır. Çocuklara hayal dünyalarını geliştiren, oyuna katılmayı sağlayan interaktif bir öğrenme sunar.
Yoga ile çocuklar bedenlerinin sınırlarına saygı duymaya ve dikkat etmeye cesaretlendirilirler. Henüz büyürken bedenlerini tanımaları büyük bir öz güven ve cesaret kazandırır.
Kendi bedenlerine duydukları saygı, kazandıkları zihinsel rahatlamanın yanı sıra, aileye, çevrelerindeki insanlara, doğaya saygı duyma ve anlayışlı olma duygularını da geliştirirler.
